BIG NEWS!!!!! THE CUPBOARD CAFE HAS SOLD AND WILL BE REOPENING WITH NEW OWNERS AND A NEW NAME IN THE NEAR FUTURE. THE NEW NAME WILL BE THE STARBOARD CAFE. YOU CAN FIND THEM ON FACEBOOK (The Starboard Cafe) AND EMAIL THEM AT ……. thestarboardcafe@hotmail.com…… beginning in mid April they can be reached at 207-677-3911(our original number). THE CUPBOARD WILL CONTINUE TO EXIST AND THE BUNS WILL CONTINUE IN SOME FORM IN THE FUTURE. WE WILL UPDATE THROUGH OUR EMAIL LIST ABOUT ANY UPCOMING INFO ABOUT THE CUPBOARD AND STARBOARD CAFE.

Family and food…
…they just go together. We simply took it a little bit further and turned it into a way of life. My name is MaryDee Grant and together with my parents, Fred and Claudia Hatch, and our friend and long-term kitchen leader, Jennifer Leeman, we run The Cupboard Café in beautiful New Harbor, Maine.
Our roots run very deep…
…enough to say our family still occupies the house that belonged to my great, great, great grandparents. And our café follows a New Harbor tradition of family and food that began with my great grandmother in the 1930’s when she ran The Ellis Homestead.
This beautiful place…
…has always been its own draw, an active fishing community with many amazing things to see and do: Pemaquid Lighthouse, and Pemaquid Beach, Fort William Henry, Hardy Boat Cruises to take you to Monhegan Island or cruise the beautiful coastline. We planted ourselves in the middle of it all with hopes of becoming a part of its draw. Almost 25 years later we are still here carrying on our traditions and being ever grateful that we have found a way to make our living and stay in this beautiful place.
